EDUCATE. ENGAGE. EMPOWER
We build strength in girls from the inside & out
Rise Up! Girl Power partners with local schools and after-school programming to deliver an empowering and curated curriculum to girls aged 8-18.
This is our mission: Educate, Engage, Empower
"I loved how everyone was communicating and sharing their experiences. Everyone was able to relate to each other and we were all respectful of our differences."

Educate
Our program is uniquely shaped in its creation and founder, Dr. Elizabeth Yepez. As an ObGyn physician born and raised the Chicago area and with a passion for the local community, empowering young women was just the start. The foundation of our curriculum is based on teaching the physiology and power of the female reproductive system. We use medical knowledge to enlighten girls to the fact that their bodies are not only strong and capable, but essential to life and society as a whole. Rise Up! Girl Power strengthens this by further educating teens about historical movements such as feminism, reproductive justice, and current legislative issues around women’s health and gender equity.
We believe that physical and mental health is essential for optimal success in life. Our curriculum enhances mental health literacy and uses an integrated approach to normalize mental health challenges and reduce stigma.
RiseUp! Girl Power equips girls with evidenced-based and trauma-informed knowledge and interventions that focus on self and relationship awareness, interpersonal communication and boundaries, as well as effective decision-making while building their sense of self and authenticity.
RiseUp! Girl Power curriculum is medically accurate, age appropriate, LGBQT+ inclusive, trauma informed and evidenced based.
"It was just a girls group which made it feel so comfortable and every one shared their thoughts and experiences that at times were so relatable and helpful."

Engage
Armed with a strong foundation in medical knowledge, historical facts, and social-emotional awareness, RiseUp! Girl Power encourages girls to become active in their communities. We emphasize civic engagement, empathy, restorative justice, as well as our responsibility to self and others. We teach the dynamics of power, structural racism, and equity to prepare young women for meaningful participation and sustained involvement in activities and organizations. The program encourages sisterhood as a tool to elevate our communities and creates a safe space for their truest selves to emerge. Our educators include professional women who serve as mentors, facilitate lessons, and provide internships based on their career specialties.
Empower
The end outcome to our program is empowering all girls and gender expansive youth to value and champion their own physical, emotional, and professional development to propel them into the role of impactful leaders and effective advocates. We propose our curriculum will inspire girls to become healthy, confident, and compelling leaders that will RiseUp! to create transformative change within themselves, their communities, and the world.
